The U.P. School of Statistics, in collaboration with the U.P. Statistical Research Foundation, Inc. (UPSCRFI), is pleased to announce the conduct of a training seminar on applied statistical analysis.

Recognizing the importance of the use of statistics in various sectors and realizing the need to upgrade the statistical foundations of practitioners in various fields, the UPSCRFI has designed its seminars to cater to a wide range of fields. Our training modules cover applications in business, economics, and the natural, social and health science.

Three modules will be offered this term. The module entitled Basic Statistics with Exploratory Data Analysis focuses on fundamental statistical methods, and is useful in any field and for the succeeding modules. The other modules focuses on a particular statistical technique. Computations are software aided. Focus is on interpretations and discussions are maintained at basic and introductory level. A more detailed description of each module can be found in the enclosed brochure. Faculty members of the School of Statistics, with varied consulting experience, will serve as resource persons. A certificate of completion is awarded to participants upon conclusion of the module.
