2024 BEST UNDERGRADUATE STUDENT PAPER COMPETITION

The Best Undergraduate Student Paper Competition is organized by the UP School of Statistics to recognize outstanding papers in the field of Statistics written by undergraduate students.

𝗗𝗘𝗔𝗗𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗘 𝗢𝗙 𝗦𝗨𝗕𝗠𝗜𝗦𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡: 𝟭𝟬 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰, 𝟭𝟭:𝟱𝟵 𝗣𝗠

ELIGIBILITY
Eligible to compete are papers authored by at least one student or graduate of the BS Statistics program of the UP School of Statistics who satisfies any of the following: (i) a graduate as of Midyear AY 2022–2023, (ii) a graduate as of 1st Semester AY 2023–2024, or (iii) a candidate for graduation this 2nd Semester AY 2023–2024.

Authors found guilty of cheating/dishonesty shall be barred from receiving the award, even if they are co-authors of the winning paper. Provided, further, that authors who have been suspended for one (1) year or more due to conduct as defined in the rules and regulations on governing fraternities, sororities, and other student organizations and the UP Anti-Sexual Harassment Code shall be barred from receiving the award.

REQUIREMENTS
Submissions should include the following documents: (1) Manuscript following the 2024 BUSPA guidelines, (2) Accomplished endorsement form (to be signed by all competing authors and concerned faculty member), and (3) Accomplished certification form (to be done individually by competing authors).
